Riley and Brandon’s wedding at Wildflower Ridge was nothing short of magical—a day filled with laughter, tears, unexpected weather, and an abundance of love. The morning began just as you’d hope for a wedding day: sunny, warm, and glowing with the promise of a beautiful celebration ahead. As Riley and Brandon got ready for the big moment, they were surrounded by their closest friends and family. It was a peaceful, emotional start to the day, as their loved ones prayed over them, sending blessings and love into every corner of the venue. It was a powerful, grounding moment that set the tone for everything that followed.
The couple chose to do a first look, and just as that special moment unfolded—it began to drizzle. We quickly made our way inside and began capturing their portraits in the cozy indoor space. And then, the skies opened up. What started as a light drizzle turned into a full-on torrential downpour. But here’s the thing: the rain couldn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. In fact, it added a layer of joy and spontaneity to the day. We pivoted, laughed, and took bridal party portraits under the venue’s charming covered front porch. At one point, guests were holding umbrellas over me and my second shooter while we snapped photos—it was chaotic, hilarious, and absolutely unforgettable.
The rain came and went, but the smiles? They never left. Riley and Brandon were beaming, crying happy tears, and soaking in every second. Their love and joy were absolutely contagious, and everyone could feel it.
And then, just after their heartfelt ceremony, nature gifted us a perfect moment: the sun peeked out from behind the clouds, bathing Wildflower Ridge in a warm, golden glow. We raced out for golden hour portraits, and the results were breathtaking—those images are some of my all-time favorites.
This wedding day had everything: sun, rain, laughter, chaos, stillness, and most importantly, a love so deep and genuine it moved everyone present. Riley and Brandon, thank you for letting me be a part of your story. I’ll never forget it.
